We want to make a point of highlighting the makers developing projects with ODT products, so we're starting these little posts called Project Spotlights. This week we are looking at the BLU Auto Shutoff USB Charger by foamyguy on Hackaday.io! Since automatic charging cutoff is available in newer phones, older Android phones tend to give you a notification to remove your phone from the charger when they are finished charging. To help get solve this issue, this project uses the Itsy Bitsy BLE and the Oak Development Technologies Load Switch Acorn to turn off power when the phones battery is fully charged.
You can find more about this project by visiting the project page on Hackaday.io. To make your own project with our Load Switch Acorn, you can order it HERE.
